“he”/“him” A Canadian Prairie Mennonite from the '70s & '80s, a Preacher’s Kid, slowly recovering from a hemorrhagic stroke. I am not — yet — in a 12-Step Program.
Speaking of photos, sort of, I am newly arrived back on these shores after a wonderful (but not easy) road trip.
The best part was photographing our vehicle (a little purple Fiat) while explaining the Kesey "Furthur" reference you suggested. Brilliant!
Periodically, while speeding on a Italian highway at 4:00 AM, someone would yell out "Further!" in an inimitable Slavic accent and the entire car would erupt with energy and begin chugging Mountain Dew.
My driving chops were severely tested in Italy, by the way. Mamma Mia!
Turns out the photo is not fake; but the feral part kind of is. It was a farmyard pet sold to some "game preserve" three or four days before bonzo plugged it, in his desperate three hour chase through the weeds.
It really was that big, and he really did kill it, but it was only "feral" in a strictly technical sense.

Nice to hear you're back, Searchie - looking forward to seeing some of those pictures!
