Just getting caught up a bit, here, after a few weeks under water. Thanks for link!
Also thank you for the Aretha! I was briefly digging up YouTube goodies like this one on Bacharach’s passing earlier in the year. Didn’t get to linger with that nearly as much as I would like. Dionne Warwick’s ‘I Say a Little Prayer’ was within the range of the accessible and acceptable for my radio listening (on Baltimore’s WLIF) as a young kid, mid–late-’70s, and I was pretty fond of it. I think I actually had an idea of who Warwick was, very vague. Aretha Franklin I really didn’t have any awareness of at all until probably late teens, post-high-school. Only a good many years later still could I put either in context halfway appropriately.
