Disney+

Song of the South is a non-starter, of course (you were looking for Riley's First Date or The Sound of Music maybe?).

But Pinocchio is a go, as are the Don Bluth years. I recommend Obi-Wan Kenobi. But I'm also the guy who recommends Star Wars Vintage: The Clone Wars.  Hey, it's by the same team that delivered Samurai Jack and that's not bad!

While you're there you may as well watch Mickey and The Three Musketeers.  I hate that little turtle, but what are you gonna do? Move the story forward, always move the story forward.

I subscribed for a bit over the winter — a difficult winter in some respects, getting through which this was something of an assist. Really just caught up on Marvel and Star Wars stuff.

Most enjoyable thing for me, for sure, was the Wilson/Hiddleston Marvel-universe buddies series. I’ll resubscribe at some point to get in vol. 2 of that. Not that I want to praise it too highly. (Have to bear in mind for one thing that I’m rarely giving the screen my full attention. This is accompaniment not occupation.) But quite a good fit in my case, and a lot of fun moments and thoughtful touches genuinely to be appreciated, I thought. I suspect you’d enjoy aspects of it too — but one does want in place, to my mind, MCU background material which to acquire could be too painful a thing if not already done gradually over some years.

Timothy Olyphant reprising Raylan Givens in The Mandalorian was another kind of nice Favreau-screwball highlight.

I am curious about the Obi Wan series.

Timothy Olyphant -- geez, and here I was trying to be magnanimous!

You should definitely check out Obi-wan. I'll be curious to see what you make of it.
