Movie Catch-Up: It Might Get Loud
I've been hankering for some time to see It Might Get Loud. Alas, a plethora of wacky alternative titles tumbled through my mind as the show wore on ....
Having said that, there were some interesting contrasts in personality: when interviewed, Edge and Page give responses that are smooth and shiny with years of repetition, while Jack White clearly still has a torrent of youthful piss and vinegar running through his veins and warping his words (not unlike Dylan, at the same age -- only with vastly better guitar chops/lesser lyrical ability). Also, while Page's mastery of his own songs is fluid and sublime, he has trouble catching up to the kids. The end result of age + past indulgences?
