A Casualty of the Polysyllabic Spree

Nick Hornby announces he's concluding his column for The Believer. I expect this is very sad news for the magazine. There have been issues that held absolutely nothing that appealed to me -- except Hornby's "Stuff I've Been Reading" column. Quite a feat, that.

From what I've been reading elsewhere, your comment about how sometimes the only thing worth reading is Hornby's stuff rings quite true. I wonder if The Believer will be able to weather his departure?

Will you keep on subscribing/buying, or, like me, just wait until an accumulation of his articles are published in a collection?

I never subscribed, but I'll probably keep buying two or three issues a year. The current issue is very much my cup of tea, actually.
