Cleared for Lift-Off

Today is the official launch of Youthful Desires: I launch the book at my place of employment, Cafe Rhythm & Books in Cannington, Ontario, at 8:00 tonight.

Anyone who sticks close to my side is likely to get a splash of Lagavulan (16) in their proffered cup. I'll try to post a few pictures tomorrow.

Yet another reason to wish I were Canadian! (Along with the health care, etc.) et

It's funny because, just before I read this post, I was thinking to myself, "Gee ... Both term papers out of the way ... my freshmen have been graded ... The MFA applications don't need any more work ... Maybe today I'll finally get to read Whisky's book!"

Wish you the best of luck (and of Scotch)!
Wish I could be there for the Huzzah's yelled unmentionable times.

phil - if it's any consolation I'm Canadian and I didn't get to go either. But I do get to pay more taxes.

DV - I would have loved to hear the Huzla's yelling unmentionables too.

WP - how did it go?

It rocked!! A nice, small salon-style literary adventure - 30 or so people ... a highly recommended experience for anyone who thinks writing is a solitary pursuit. It can be, but that sure ain't the ideal.

I've been assured that pictures are forthcoming. Stay tuned...
