Blogger Beta: If I Knew Then What I Know Now

Blogger Beta -- the pros: it is unbelievably fast. The pictures, video clips, etc. that were taking so darn long to upload now zip in and take their place at the table. Much appreciated.

The cons: I can't post "WP" comments on non-beta blogs!! Cobbers, if it feels like I've been shunning you the last week or so, let me just say no, no, no -- anything but. Blogger claims it is working to amend this, but until then, I may have to start commenting "anonymously".

WP,
Thanks for the info. I've been afraid to switch, and this doesn't help.

Nice try, but if you don't want to comment on my blog anymore, why don't you just say so instead of blaming blogger.

peace man, :)

Hope you don't mind if I try something else.

WP, is this going to be a situation like with Searchie, wherein any comments you want to make will have to be done on your own blog? I thought Searchie was the only Beta Blogger, offerring up temtations to comment on and then taking away our silverware.

WP,

Ditto Dan H. ... was just talking yesterday with Will from One Thing I Know about Beta Blogger. Decided to wait then and you've affirmed my decision.

WP,
Hate to use your blog for my own use, but I received an email that you left a comment on my blog. However, I don't see the comment anywhere. What post did you leave it under (if you remember)?
Thanks

Dan, I commented on your Bob Dylan concert-posting. Fitting, no?

Huh — I haven't looked at Beta, as I'm reduced to using ancient software these days. More & more interesting stuff comes along that I can't even look at! — Much less jeopardize online acquaintance for the sake of. : )

But anyway, I do appreciate your going to a bit of extra trouble to stay in touch there. (I admit, by the way, to having kind of enjoyed imagining an eyebrow or two being raised, should some who know me come upon one of those thoughtful comments left by someone signing off as 'Whisky'. Even though I'm pretty sure none of those people actually look at my blog, I think I'll miss imagining it.)
