Review of the Day

Man, oh man: no-one reviews a book like Martin Amis. He writes each one as if he's been storing up everything in his life for just this occasion. Here he is on Bob Woodward's latest. Link from ALD.

....review-speaking, any comments/reviews about that magazine you've got pegged over on the right side of the menu?

I'm really enjoying it. In this ish they've tossed in a bunch of throw-away bits on the Lost Generation, including a nifty precis of Sherwood Anderson's nervous breakdown and Ernest Hemingway's least favourite autograph hound. It's all nattily formatted, with just enough braininess to give the reader a little internal uplift. I got turned on to it by this review, actually. Now I'm considering purchasing some back issues. Highly recommended.
