I haven't seen this yet -- it could be absolute rubbish. But it's generating some interesting conversations in the usual digital backwaters, so I am bookmarking it here. At some point when I have two hours for the task I'll give it a closer look. I might even comment.
Adam Curtis is quite the discovery for me. I’d never heard of him until Elias’ post in the Solidarity Hall group. Way overdue! Not to say that Curtis is changing my view of things much at this stage. But I appreciate the place of his kind of storytelling in our media culture increasingly much more than I could have ten or certainly twenty years ago and have to admire his particular arch-stylish-without-bombast approach to it; and I could wish now that I’d known of it sooner.
ReplyDeleteHa, Blogger seems to have removed my m-dashes. Edit if you will!
ReplyDelete(Blogger senses my overdependence on them maybe.)
ReplyDeleteI am not seeing anything amiss. Could it be a US peculiarity? (Hardly unique in that case - ha!)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, man - dpr
