I wish I'd said that...

Funny, I've paid no attention to this launch — not even bothered to read an article about it, before your link here — though I'm a long-time Apple user. Paid no attention when iPod & iPhone were launched, either, actually. And ... I use both today. I don't see any likelihood of needing the new device, once again, but I am a bit more hesitant to make that a vocal position this time.
Over coffee today, an old friend & long-time serious Apple partisan sought to make the case for iPad as another leap forward — a repeat, sort of, of conversation we had at introduction of the iPhone — and I dutifully played contented skeptic. I wouldn't be lining up to order even if money were no object, that's the fact. I honestly don't want one more device with a screen. Whether I'll be doing fine without one 3 or 4 years from now, though, is another question — one I'm putting off.
