As you say, though, he does have that not-quite-into-the-discipline quality down, which keeps him interesting to watch.Whisky Prajerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14076228013022881173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329706.post-38196889798474938162016-08-20T21:59:14.081-04:002016-08-20T21:59:14.081-04:00Ah, that is a big deal. You think that part of the audition would include that.Yahmdallah Bjorknickerfodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15222408419642040554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329706.post-10146855489294250132016-08-20T09:51:53.457-04:002016-08-20T09:51:53.457-04:00I can't recall who pointed this out - David Ed...I can't recall who pointed this out - David Edelstein probably - but Quinto can't do the single-eyebrow-raise. It's just physically impossible (I should know) which, if you think about it, is a very big deal for this character.Whisky Prajerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14076228013022881173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329706.post-6075022958468462762016-08-19T12:11:30.401-04:002016-08-19T12:11:30.401-04:00They have just got to come up with a new plot.

We are not at the part of his character arc where he integrates his human side. From that perspective, Quinto is doing an OK job, methinks. He seems especially prone to leaking the lone tear. On the other hand, it brings out Urban-McCoy's capacity for fostering comradery with both characters, rather uniquely, I think.dpreimerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09905531259256800022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329706.post-11980434158697164832016-07-27T10:21:41.878-04:002016-07-27T10:21:41.878-04:00There was at least one scene in the beginning--whe...There was at least one scene in the beginning--when Kirk and McCoy were having a quiet drink and talking about Birthdays--when I temporarily forgot that this wasn't the original Kirk and McCoy. The chemistry was just so good, I felt like these were the originals

that being said, unfortunately no one can duplicate Leonard Nimoy. (I imagine this is why the Star Trek franchise never had any popular Vulcan characters except for Spock. I know they tried, but any other actor looks like they're doing a pale imitation of Nimoy, and failing). zachery quinto's spock just seems like a parody of Nimoy, instead of the real thing.Joel Swagmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14948746083822200906noreply@blogger.com
